CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Farmers’ markets, the most boisterous places obviously tied to the livelihood of people, mirror the urban image and people’s well-being of a city. Recently, the renovated Area A of Renhe Farmer’s Market in Liangjiang New Area has passed the municipal-level and district-level acceptance inspections and opened for business on May 30.

The peak hour was over at around nine in the morning, but Renhe Farmer’s Market was still full of customers shopping for groceries at this time.

Both traders and customers admired the new changes to the farmer’s market, such as the spacious and bright interior of the market, the classified stalls, and the merchandise placed in an orderly manner.

“The renovated market is nice. It’s got more perfect facilities and more standardized management,” said Mr. Chen, who has been selling cold dishes at Renhe Farmers' Market for more than 20 years. He added that the customers had to walk on tiptoe as the ground was rough in the market, and goods piling up made the market a disturbing mess. Today, the greatly improved environment of the market provides both customers and traders with comfortable trading experiences.

Ms. Li, an old resident living in the Xingjiaqiao community, has been a regular customer of Renhe Farmers' Market. She highly praised the new look of the market, saying that the market used to be dirty and disorderly, and thanks to the joint efforts of different parties, the improved market has brought much convenience to shoppers.
