CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On June 2, the reporter learned that the battered piles of the arch support of the Ankang Hanjiang Bridge on the High Speed Railway from Xi’an to Chongqing (hereinafter referred to as the "Xi'an-Chongqing High Speed Railway") have been successfully poured recently, laying a solid foundation for the future construction.
The Ankang Hanjiang Bridge on the Xi'an-Chongqing High Speed Railway, located in Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, with a total length of 367.9 meters and the span of its main arch of 290 meters long, is one of the key projects along the whole line.
With a total length of 739 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the Xi'an-Chongqing High Speed Railway is constructed in two sections, one from Xi'an to Ankang and one from Ankang to Chongqing, and the connecting line between the Xi'an-Chongqing High Speed Railway and the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High Speed Railway is constructed simultaneously. The section from Ankang to Chongqing starts from Ankang West Railway Station, passes by Ankang City in Shaanxi Province, Chengkou County in Chongqing Municipality, Dazhou City and Guang'an City in Sichuan Province, Hechuan District and Beibei District in Chongqing Municipality, and ends at the Chongqing Hub Chongqingxi Railway Station, with a total of 11 stations constructed, including Ankang West, Langao, Chengkou, Fankuai, Xuanhan South, Dazhou South, Dazhu, Guang'an East, Hechuan East, Beibei South, and Chongqingxi. Among them, Chongqingxi is an existing station, while the others are newly built ones.
After the Xi’an-Chongqing High-speed railway is constructed and open to traffic, the travel time from Chongqing to Xi'an is expected to be reduced from about 6 hours to about 2.5 hours. (Translated by Hu Chuanmin, Fathom Language Limited)
