CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In order to facilitate passengers to travel during the approaching summer travel rush this year, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has actively coordinated with airlines to launch new routes and increase flights to popular destinations overseas, and plans to launch a new passenger route connecting Chongqing and Colombo, Sri Lanka and Malé, Maldives, and increase flights from Chongqing to Thailand to 2 flights per day, and increase flights from Chongqing to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to 1 flight per day.
Chongqing Airlines will launch a passenger route connecting Chongqing and Colombo and Malé on June 24. This route will be operated with an Airbus A320NEO aircraft three times per week. The outbound flight CZ553/OQ2393 is scheduled to depart from Chongqing at 12:10 every Monday and Friday, stop in Colombo and arrive in Male at 17:40; the flight will depart from Chongqing at 15:45 every Wednesday, stop in Colombo and arrive in Male at 21:25. The return flight CZ554/OQ2394 is scheduled to depart from Male at 18:50 every Monday and Friday, stop in Colombo and arrive in Chongqing at 05:55 the next day; this flight will depart from Male at 22:55 every Wednesday, stop in Colombo and arrive in Chongqing at 10:30 the next day. The round-trip flights will take about 8.5 hours.
In addition, Chongqing Airlines will resume the nonstop passenger flight from Chongqing to Phuket on July 1. This flight will be operated with an Airbus A320NEO aircraft once a day. The outbound flight CZ561/OQ2061 will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while CZ543/OQ2093 will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It is planned to depart from Chongqing at 20:00 and arrive in Phuket at 22:50. The return flight CZ562/OQ2062 will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, while CZ544/OQ2094 will be operated every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It is planned to depart from Phuket at 23:50 and arrive in Chongqing at 05:00 the next day. The round-trip flights will take about 4 hours. It is learned that Chongqing Airlines has recently launched ticket price discounts for one-way tickets set at the price of at least 950 yuan (excluding tax) and for round-trip tickets set at the price of at least 1650 yuan (excluding tax) in order to strengthen market promotion.
Xiamen Airlines will launch nonstop passenger flights from Chongqing to Phnom Penh on June 21. The flight will be operated with a Boeing B737 aircraft every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The outbound flight MF8669 is scheduled to depart from Chongqing at 09:05 and arrive in Phnom Penh at 11:20; The return flight MF8670 is scheduled to depart from Phnom Penh at 12:20 and arrive in Chongqing at 16:50. The round-trip flights will take about 3.5 hours.
