Thousands of square meters of golden flowers are waiting to be explored next to Zhixing Road, just a short stroll from Gailanxi Sports Park.

Covering an area of about 12,000 square meters, this golden flower field used to be an unused hillside field, said the official from the Jiangbei Landscaping Management Office. It was sown with 100 pounds of Cosmos sulphureus flower seeds this spring, which have already grown into vibrantly-colored blossoms.

In addition, the flowers growing on the slopes outside the Jiangbei Science and Technology Financial Center, on the banks of the Dongliang River outside Shuiyu Huating, and in the open space outside the Xipaicheng have also been in full bloom. Most of these flowers are Cosmos sulphureus, and some coneflowers are planted outside Xipaicheng to enhance the aesthetic experience.

The incredible flower fields in Jiangbei District are more than these. This year, led by the Jiangbei Urban Management Bureau, all the sub-districts and towns, relevant departments, and construction institutions in Jiangbei will grow a great variety of flowers in key areas on the four banks of the two rivers, urban marginal land, unused land, sloping fields, and retaining walls, such as Gailanxi Sports Park, the open space on Xianglan Road, Xiangguosi Wharf, the Baren Jishui area, the bank of Dongliang River, and the roads along Fusheng Huashan. The varieties of flowers include Cosmos sulphureus, calliopsis, Sophora xanthantha, coreopsis, and ryegrass.

According to statistics, the sowing areas in Jiangbei District reach about 500,000 square meters, with each sowing area planted with specific flower varieties to present different beautiful landscapes.
