The growth in the consumption of services such as self-driving and chartered car around the island can be seen not only at home but also abroad. Mr. Liu, a college graduate from Guangdong has booked a car rental to Malaysia for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. “We plan to rent a car to travel between Malacca, Kuala Lumpur and Penang to find the most down-to-earth night markets and restaurants most favored by the locals. It is more cost-effective that four of us as a group share the costs,” said he. Date from Fliggy also showed it saw the booking volumes of overseas car rental and chartered services on Fliggy up 3-fold and 1-fold respectively year-on-year.
