CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The harvest season for Wushan Crispy Plums is approaching. Recently, it has been learned from Wushan County that China Post will continue to operate "Wushan Crispy Plum" flights this year to support the development of the Wushan Crispy Plum industry. The flights will run from July 2 to 20, with an estimated 15 flights in total, and a cumulative cargo capacity of up to 225 tons.
"Wushan Crispy Plum" is a "golden name card" of our city's fruit industry. However, in the past, it took 9 hours to transport the crispy plums to the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, which affected the quality of Wushan Crispy Plums.
In recent years, in order to ensure the operation of the "Crispy Plum flights", Wushan Post has customized a "Direct Postal Service" by setting up nearly 200 collection and delivery service points in the main crispy plum producing areas across the county, allowing fruit farmers to achieve "zero-distance mailing".
Wushan Airport has also implemented "one-on-one" support for the flights. They have increased support personnel, optimized the collection and transportation routes of the crispy plums, and established contingency plans for cargo overload. At the same time, they have opened a green channel for priority services, including priority warehousing, priority weighing, and priority security checks. Additionally, they have established an integrated land-air transport system that facilitates efficient shipment of the crispy plums from "on-site picking in the fields to direct postal transportation and rapid air transport across the country."
Last year, during the operation of the second season of "Crispy Plum flights," Wushan Crispy Plums were delivered to over 1,000 cities nationwide within 24 hours. (Translated by Liu Xilin, Fathom Language Limited)
