Chongqing rail transit stations have achieved full coverage of 5G signals

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, it was learned from China Mobile Group Chongqing Co., Ltd. that Chongqing Mobile is fully implementing the special action "Seamless Connection in Mountain City, Signal Enhancement". Currently, full coverage of 5G signals has been completed in all the station halls and platforms of the city's rail transit.

Currently, Chongqing Mobile's 4G coverage rate has exceeded 98% in the Chongqing area, with 5G coverage rising to over 97%. Network latency has been reduced from 45 milliseconds to 33 milliseconds, and the compliance rate of mobile network speeds in major scenarios has reached 100%.

In terms of rail transit, all station halls and platforms in the city's rail transit system have been completely covered by 5G, with 5G full coverage completed on 9 lines. This not only enhances the travel experience for citizens but also provides strong network support for the construction of a smart city.

In addition to the rail transit lines, Chongqing Mobile has achieved a wireless network coverage rate of over 98% in the main urban areas through measures such as building new base stations, conducting network testing, and optimizing 4G/5G coordination. Network latency has been reduced to 32 milliseconds, resulting in a noticeable improvement in customer perception. In rural and agricultural areas, a special action plan for 5G coverage in administrative villages has been initiated. As of the first quarter of this year, the 5G coverage rate in administrative villages has reached 75%, with the expectation of reaching 100% by the end of the year.

In addition, Chongqing Mobile continues to advance the signal enhancement work in special scenarios. Wireless network optimization has been carried out in elevators and underground spaces throughout the city, achieving a coverage rate of over 95%. Additionally, network renovation and new coverage construction efforts are being promoted for nearly 230 old and newly added property points' underground spaces.
