CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- 78 new energy vehicles will be put into use for eight new bus lines in Chongqing to further meet residents’ demand for public transport and enhance their travel experience, according to the Southern Public Transport, Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group.

The new energy buses put into use are designed with a low entrance with high accessibility and a yellow cover that can be turned over to facilitate passengers with mobility difficulties to get on and off the bus. The floor from the entrance to the rear exit in the bus is flat, which increases the walking space and makes it more convenient and safe for passengers to walk in the bus.

The 78 new energy vehicles are used for Line 10, 149, 334, 176, 184, 178, 310, and 384.

Line 10 is the route with the most new electric buses this time (26 buses), said Yunan Branch of Chongqing Southern Public Transport. It is the first five-star bus line and elder-friendly bus line. To better serve passengers, the bus drivers have received relevant training to ensure the proficient use of all kinds of convenient facilities on the bus before the new buses start service.  (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
