CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The China Railway Express train X8011 (from Chongqing to Duisburg, Germany), loaded with 55 containers of goods, departed Tuanjiecun Station as the train whistle blew on June 15. On the same day, Chongqing’s first inbound train with a full timetable set off from Duisburg, Germany.
This significant progress marks the start of full timetable services and two-way train services by CRE, opening a new chapter for the opening up and logistics development of Chongqing.
Compared to regular trains, the trains with full timetables have fixed train numbers, routes, schedules, and running times. Besides, the key parts of transportation, such as loading, unloading, and
handover of goods at entry/exit ports, have been planned and optimized scientifically to ensure a significant improvement in transportation efficiency and stability. By clarifying the requirements for connection times and adopting the principle of prioritizing grouping, loading, and departure, Chongqing CRE can operate efficiently on railways at home and abroad.
The opening of the two-way full timetable train service between Chongqing and Duisburg considerably shortens the overall operating time, improves the operation efficiency of the Yuxinou (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) Corridor and enhances the attractiveness and competitiveness of Chongqing as an inland city with a new height of openness. It is estimated that the overall operation efficiency of the full timetable train service is increased by more than 30% compared to regular trains. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
