CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, together with the Chongqing IFS under Wharf Holdings and the Chongqing Times Square, started two enjoyable theme exhibitions, IFS Dream-fulfilling Journey and Duffy and Friends' Holiday Adventures, on June 15, bringing the beloved Disney character experience in Frozen and Duffy and Friends to Chongqing for the first time.

The two exhibitions feature scenes in Hong Kong Disneyland's World of Frozen, such as Arendelle Castle, Swirling Snow Sleigh, Wandering Oaken's Inn, and the status of Duffy and Friends characters among flowers appearing in the movie Main Street. The exhibition area for Duffy and Friends' Holiday Adventures incorporates various candy-themed elements, allowing visitors in southwestern China to start a preview of the summer trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Hong Kong Disneyland is always hoping to further tap into the potential of its products in the Chinese mainland market, said Mr. He Nuoxi, Director of Marketing at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Located in the hinterland of southwestern China, Chongqing is an important hub connecting the east and west, with influences to the north and south. Considering that people’s interest in Hong Kong Disneyland has been growing year by year, and HK and Chongqing are connected by convenient transport, such as 2-hour-and-15-minute flights and high-speed trains. “We chose to stage in Chongqing our first theme exhibition in southwestern China this year, hoping to more effectively connect with mainland guests.”

That afternoon, lively CookieAnn and adorable LinaBell, the popular cute characters in Duffy and Friends, made a surprise appearance at the exhibition, interacting closely with fans and eliciting applause and screams from the audience. “We have been looking forward to the exhibition for one week,” a Disney fan from Chengdu said. On the day of the events, more than one hundred fans from different cities dressed in Duffy and Friends-themed costumes to attend the exciting exhibitions.

Disneyland’s first-ever largest Frozen-themed park – World of Frozen opened in November last year at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Today, the scene experience is brought to Chongqing for the first time. On the third-floor outdoor plaza of the Chongqing IFS, visitors can catch their first glimpse of Arendelle Castle, the iconic building in the World of Frozen. After nightfall, as Arendelle Castle is illuminated, the brilliant light and shadow effects will recreate the magnificent night view of the World of Frozen, bringing stunning visual enjoyment.
