CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the Gymnastics Center of the General Administration of Sport of China released the Notice on Publicizing the List of Athletes Participating in the Gymnastics, Trampoline, and Rhythmic Gymnastics Events of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

19-year-old Chongqing girl Ding Xinyi was named in China’s rhythmic gymnastics team as a key player to compete in the Paris Olympics, according to the Notice.

Ding Xinyi, a native of Chongqing, was originally an outstanding rhythmic gymnastics team member in Chongqing, jointly trained by the Chongqing Administration of Sport and Shapingba Sports Bureau. She attended primary school at Shapingba No.1 Experimental Primary School and finished her high school studies at Chongqing No.7 Middle School. Now she is studying at Beijing Sport University.

As an exceptional new star in the Chongqing Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, Ding Xinyi was picked for the national team in February 2022. Since then, Ding Xinyi has performed well in the World Cup, Asian Championships, and World Championships, winning a total of 19 medals, including nine golds, five silvers, and five bronzes, becoming the first Chongqing girl to rank among the Chinese rhythmic gymnastics world champions.
