CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- If you want to go on a trip, who would you travel with? Recently, a girl in Chongqing with the network name “Miaowu” shared videos of traveling with her cat on the Internet, attracting countless netizens to comment them “healing” and “cute”, and “pet owners” to ask for “handbook for travelling with pets”.

“Treat every pet differently”.

Miaowu is the owner of a cake store. “I work free hours, so I have time to take Lulu (cat’s name) on trips around the world.”

Three years ago, she brought home Lulu who had just turned two months old. She chose the cat right away from the herd, “because it seemed the most active, and bringing home a pet also needs ‘two-way efforts’. I like active cats who can give me more feedback.” The lively Lulu has also shown great athleticism from an early age.

In January 2022, Lulu was just six months old, and Miaowu planned to take Lulu to see the snow in western Sichuan via a road trip. At the high altitude, people could hardly breathe, but Lulu was still full of vitality, and left some people behind several times.

Since then, Miaowu also took it to watch the sunrise in Erhai, to see seagulls in Kunming, to experience Laigu Glacier in Tibet, and to feel the desert.

After the travel video went viral, Miaowu received a lot of private letters, including that “what should I do if my cat goes out and doesn’t move on the ground”, “I have to carry out and back my cat if I travel with it”... To this end, Miaowu specially prepared a “handbook for travelling with pets”.

“Cats are naturally more timid and hiding is their natural instinct. It is not suitable for every cat to travel.” She introduced that, first, you need to understand the habits of your own cat. If it is more active and bold, then do some socialization training from a young age, and then start adapting from the near suburbs, and then gradually to the far suburbs, giving it a process of adapting.

Moreover, she suggested that upon traveling with pets, you must understand their physical conditions. If it is the first time for them to have a long-distance travel or travel to high altitudes, and if you have concerns, you can take them to have a physical examination. When traveling, you should also consider their eating, drinking and pooping, and prepare in advance.

No matter when and where you are, please remember to love life

It is a kind of companionship to be able to travel together and enjoy the scenery along the journey; and it is also a kind of companionship to hold a book under a lamp and hug a pet at home.

“Traveling with a cat is a blessing to me, because it is a travel partner that never spoils my fun.” She said that traveling with a cat is a way of hoping that her cat would also feel and experience the beauty she saw and felt.

Lulu is a glutton, so it is a little overweight. Since she was willing to go out and play, she took it along on trips to see the landscape. “Every time we come back from a trip, Lulu is noticeably thinner, which is a kind of exercise for it.”
How about taking two cats on a trip? “That would certainly be twice as happy!”

In addition to Lulu who is the older brother, she also has a younger cat, “Lielie”, who has just turned two years old and is also a “social butterfly”. However, they have their own specialties, especially in the area of acting coquettishly. Lulu never “meow”, only acts coquettishly in “ah”; while Lielie always “meows” in a delicate way.

In order to document these two adorable cats, during travels, Miaowu developed a new hobby: photography. Nowadays, she can play drones and is also skilled in the use of cameras.

Traveling with her cats or documenting it through photography are both signs of her love of life. When she travels, she doesn’t run to the “finish line”, and she said that “traveling allows me to take a break from my fast-paced life, and it’s a form of relaxation and recreation, so it’s all about the scenery along the way for my cats and me”.
