As an Associate Professor at Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts, Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Li Changlong has persistently devoted himself to the research, interpretation, rendition and        creation of sketch, painting and contemporary art for more than 20 years. With his insight, thinking, judgment and artistic expression, he is active in the domestic and international contemporary art display platform.

On the scene, a work titled caught everyone’s attention. This work depicts the author’s youngest daughter, and the paper-based work uses handmade bark paper and gesso base, which is made in eight layers to create an effect similar to that of a mural. This work is drawn in a manner that follows classical sketching techniques, striving to achieve perfection in detail and texture.

Li Changlong introduced that on the one hand, returning to his alma mater to hold this exhibition was giving back to the teaching and reminiscence of his own learning experience, and on the other hand, he was also trying to break through the traditional mode of teaching and artistic thinking of College Sketch, and narrating the history of the discipline in the form of documentary presentation.
