During this period, Chongqing railway stations expect 14.5 million passenger trips, with average daily passenger trips of 234,000, increasing by 811,000 trips, up 5.9% year-on-year. 260,000 passenger trips are expected to be made on the peak day.

This summer travel rush expects a strong and sustained demand for travel, mainly including summer trips by students, tourist travels, business trips and family visits. The first ten days of July will see college students returning home as the main passenger flow, and the middle and last ten days of July, the first and middle ten day of August will see tourists traveling as the main passenger flow; while the middle and last ten days will see tourists traveling, people visiting family and students returning to schools as the main passenger flow. Considering an increase of tourists during the past several holidays, it is expected that family travel will continue to be hot during this summer travel rush. Based on the ticket sales for now, cities such as Wanzhou, Chengdu, Guiyang, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an and Kunming are relatively popular favorites.

Chongqing railway stations strengthen passenger-flow analysis, enhance analysis and judgment on passenger flow trend with big data, and dynamically arrange transportation capacity deployment by increasing trains and multiple-unit trains to meet passengers’ needs for travel.
