CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Direct flights between Chongqing and Malaysia's Penang will commence service on July 23, marking the beginning of the first non-stop flight service between Chongqing and Penang and the first direct flight to Penang in the central and western regions of China, according to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.

Operated by Malaysia Firefly, the Chongqing-Penang air route will offer three flights every week using a Boeing 737 aircraft. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the flight departing Penang at 21:30 the previous day will arrive in Chongqing at 2:00; the return flight will leave Chongqing at 3:00 and arrive in Penang at 7:30.
