CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Xinsheng Port in Zhongxian County, Chongqing, saw the maiden voyage of its domestic container liner on July 4, with 12 standard containers of fertilizer from Zhijiang, Hubei, successfully arriving at the port and being unloaded.

Chongqing Xinsheng Port is the first 10,000-ton wharf approved by the Ministry of Transport on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It offers 14 berths with an annual throughput of 25 million tons and a perennial water depth of more than 6 meters, making it capable of navigating 10,000-ton vessels throughout the year.

The maiden voyage of Xinsheng Port's domestic container liner marks the port's transformation into a comprehensive port integrating heavy-duty roll-on/roll-off transport, bulk cargo, and container business, which is a milestone for the development and growth of the logistics industry in Zhongxian County.
