The moon suit is the most eye-catching work in the main exhibition area of the works selected for Beijing. It is a concept work designed by a Chongqing designer team in Chongqing based on the requirements of China’s first manned moon landing mission. The creator, Hu Yongpan, introduced that the moon suit is systematically designed from six perspectives: craft, structure, quality, decoration, color, and shape. They have innovatively designed a flexible pressure suit with a combination of rigid and adaptable structures, an exoskeleton to enhance the mobility of the human-suit system, a PLSS backpack with a fold-down assistant wearing system, and an intelligent human-machine interface, achieving the ingenious integration of traditional cultural elements such as the armor-like shape, wind-carrying belts, auspicious cloud patterns, and Chinese seals with high-tech structures.

The exhibition will be open to the public for free between July 6 and August 20. Audiences can follow the WeChat Official Account of the Art Museum of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts to make reservations for the exhibition.
