CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- July usually witnesses the lotus flowers in their full beauty. At this time, the lotus flowers at Jiulongpo Huayan Scenic Spot are in full bloom, offering a delightful opportunity for those who wish to enjoy the floral splendor and the tranquility of Zen.

Within Huayan Scenic Spot, there are two superb spots for lotus appreciation, namely Beidanmen Square, replete with jars housing lotus plants, and Qibu Lotus Pond, brimming with the fragrance of blossoms. At present, the lotus in the jars has burst into bloom, with leaves as verdant as jade plates and the floral fragrance permeating the air.

After enjoying the beauty of the lotus in the jars at Beimen Square, you can proceed to visit Qibu Lotus Pond. July is the ideal time to see the Qibu Lotus Pond, as a large expanse of lotuses will be in full bloom, presenting a breathtaking sight.

The Huayan Scenic Area features 28 mu of lotus planted in ponds, 4,000 jars of lotus, and nearly 20 lotus appreciation spots, with more than 150 rare varieties. Last year, the 27th Lotus Festival in the Huayan Scenic Area drew more than 500,000 visitors, providing a one-of-a-kind lotus ceremony experience for the public. Over the past 27 years, the lotus viewing experience in summer in the Huayan Scenic Spot has become a shared memory for generations of citizens.
