CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A new taxi stand was added in Jiefangbei CBD to facilitate passenger travel, according to the Yuzhong Division of the Chongqing Transportation Law Enforcement Corps.

With the arrival of the summer travel peak, Chongqing has experienced the peak of road traffic, especially in popular areas such as the Jiefangbei CBD, which attracts many tourists. To better accommodate the travel demands of tourists, the Yuzhong Division of the Chongqing Transportation Law Enforcement Corps, in collaboration with relevant functional departments, conducted on-site investigations. Leveraging big data, they accurately predicted passenger and vehicle flows and scientifically planned the location and size of the taxi stand. As a result, a new taxi stand has been added at the entrance of the Metropolitan Oriental Plaza in the Jiefangbei CBD.

The new taxi stand can accommodate eight taxis parking and waiting for passengers simultaneously, improving the travel efficiency of both citizens and tourists.

Furthermore, to enhance the effectiveness of law enforcement and regulatory measures, the transportation law enforcement department in Chongqing has fully implemented the governance of operational order, intensifying inspection efforts and strictly investigating illegal and irregular activities, such as taxi drivers' refusals to pick up passengers, taking detours, and charging arbitrary fees, in the Jiefangbei CBD.
