CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Sanitation workers were busy dredging in front of the Chongqing Jianchuan Maritime Museum on Jiubin Road, Jiulongpo District, in July.

The flood peak arrived in Chongqing recently, causing the water level of the Yangtze River to rise and submerging some riverside platforms and walkways, which were then covered with a thick layer of silt. Once the floodwaters receded, the Jiulongpo government promptly organized various departments to commence the silt-cleaning operation and expedite the restoration of normal living conditions for the public.
