CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Let's go and enjoy the coolness in the air-raid shelter! To provide the general public with a pleasantly cool summer, 39 air-raid shelter cooling sites in 11 districts of Chongqing have been opened to the public for free.

These cooling sites will be available until the end of September, and their specific opening hours will be determined by each district based on the actual weather conditions. Considering that air-raid shelters are typically cool in summer and warm in winter, the National Defense Mobilization Offices of 11 districts have opened those with good ventilation, safety, dryness, and convenience to the public. These air-raid shelters offer drinking water, tables and chairs, guidelines, heatstroke prevention supplies, and information on National Defense Mobilization. Staff members are also arranged to take care of the safety and hygiene of the cooling sites and offer attentive services to the public.

Chongqing has provided summer cooling services for the public in air-raid shelters for 22 years. Air-raid shelters have become a livelihood improvement project of Chongqing's National Defense Mobilization to benefit the people and have received widespread praise and positive feedback from the general public.
