The "sea-rail-river" combined transport on the new western land-sea corridor speeding up again

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On July 16, the reporter learned from Chongqing Customs that a cargo ship loaded with imported goods recently docked at Yongchuan Port in Chongqing, marking that the new western land-sea corridor has applied the "multiple transfer" function to the "sea-rail-river" combined transport import.

The goods transported through the new western land-sea corridor this time are pulp imported by Chongqing Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd., with a total of 40 TEUs and a value of 182,000 dollars. The cargo was first transported by sea to Qinzhou Port, and then declared through the "multiple transfer" function of intermodal transfer. It was then transported by rail trains on the new western land-sea corridor to Guoyuan Port, where it was transferred and reloaded before being transported by river ship to Yongchuan Port.

The relevant person in charge of Chongqing Customs introduced that through the "multiple transfer" function, after the cargoes reach Guoyuan Port, companies can load or unload cargoes just after confirming the information of the next transportation vehicle, without going through other customs procedures.

“Through the 'multiple transfer' function, the entire customs clearance procedures can be handled at the entry point in one go, and the one-time application can be completed online, which has effectively improved the efficiency of transferring goods at the port.” Zhang Jingping, the logistics manager of Chongqing Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd., said that this new model has saved nearly 2 days of logistics time.
