CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On July 21st, after the two-day fierce competition, 2024 Chongqing Youth Air Space Science and Technology Popularization Series and the 15th “Beidou Cup” National Youth Aerospace Technology Experience and Innovation Contest (Chongqing) Qualification came to an end in Chongqing Jiangbei Middle School, not only showing the enthusiasm and innovation ability of young people for air space science and technology, but also providing a platform for them to show themselves and exercise their abilities.

This Qualification focused on frontier technology fields such as satellite navigation, and sky-earth cooperative remote sensing, and covered 11 competitions including Beidou Positioning Challenge Competition, “Beidou Wisdom Life” Practice Competition, and “Beidou Wisdom Time and Space” Creative Painting, through the setting of three major competition categories including experience, creativity, and innovation.

In “Beidou Positioning Challenge Competition”, contesters deeply understood the spirit of Beidou in the new era through interesting activities in Lijia Smart Park at Liangjiang New Area. At the site, the contesters demonstrated their creative works and innovative ideas in the form of presentation and oral defense, on-site competition and other forms.

Since the launch of the Contest in April 2024, it has attracted about 4,500 young people from more than 150 schools and universities in Chongqing to participate in. After a series of rigorous selection such as initial screening and final rounds, the outstanding winners will participate in the National Final of the 15th “Beidou Cup” National Youth Aerospace Technology Experience and Innovation Contest on behalf of Chongqing and they will have the opportunity to compete with outstanding contesters from all over the country and jointly promote the development of the air space science and technology of China.
