CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) has provided another benefit for citizens. According to the Chongqing Rail Line 18 Construction Operation Co., Ltd., in an effort to further improve service quality, the Olympic Sports Center Station of CRT Line 18 has been upgraded to include the first cooling area for children which has been set up at one of the Chongqing rail transit stations on the basis of the existing cooling areas.

During the scorching summer, 140 cooling areas opened by Chongqing Rail Transit have become popular destinations for citizens to seek a shelter from the summer heat. At present, CRT Line 18 has set up cooling areas at 10 stations including Olympic Sports Center Station, Shipingqiao Station, Yangjiaping Station, Tanzikou Station, Huangjueping Station, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute Station, Dianchang Station, Chongqing University of Technology Station, Huaxi Industrial Park Station, and Baijusi Station.

“With the arrival of the summer vacation, many elderly people bring their grandchildren to the station to cool off," said the person in charge of the Chongqing Rail Line 18 Construction Operation Co., Ltd. In order to improve service measures, the Olympic Sports Center Station has piloted a cooling area for children by upgrading its existing cooling area.

The cooling area for children features various activity areas such as a reading area, a hopscotch game area, and a rail transit safety flying chess area, where children can read books, play games, and learn about subway safety through games, thereby enhancing their awareness of safe travel.

The Chongqing Rail Line 18 Construction Operation Co., Ltd stated that in order to ensure the orderly operation of the cooling area, the station will also strengthen management, and guide everyone to enjoy the cool in a civilized manner, so as to jointly create a good travel environment.
