What is the “mini pink incense burner”? Why they appear in Chongqing during the summer?
The reporter learned that the prototype of the "mini pink incense burner" is the incense burner made of rose quartz engraved with two dragons holding rings and a pair of handles of Qing Dynasty. It has a total height of 12cm, with the diameter of the mouth of 6.4cm, the diameter of the belly of 8.5cm, the height of the burner body of 6.1cm, and the height of the lid of 5.9cm. This incense burner is a second grade cultural relic collected in the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum.
On July 29, the Incense burner made of rose quartz engraved with two dragons holding rings and a pair of handles of Qing Dynasty was displayed at the "Jingren Huaide: Exhibition of Social Donated Cultural Relics" held by the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum. Hua Xiajie, a cultural and museum staff member from the Collection Department of the Three Gorges Museum, introduced that this incense burner has rarely been exhibited to the public since it was collected to the museum 66 years ago, and it has been 10 years since it was last exhibited in Chongqing.
The "mini pink incense burner” is a derivative cultural and creative product—a refrigerator magnet—that finely distinguishes the body and lid of the incense burner. It highly restores the carving techniques used in the incense burner made of rose quartz engraved with two dragons holding rings and a pair of handles of Qing Dynasty, such as openwork carving, round carving and high relief.
Currently, "mini pink incense burners” have become sought-after "hit" products in short supply and has sold out multiple times. On a certain online platform, there were nearly 7000 notes on topics related to "mini pink incense burners". The popularity of this topic has also increases on Tiktok, Weibo and other platforms, and netizens left messages expressing their desire to purchase one.
To reward fans for their love, the Three Gorges Museum continues to "pamper its fans".
