Chongqing Railway Station sends 6.9 million person-times during the rush in summer holiday

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to Chongqing Railway Station, it had sent 6.9 million person-times in total during the rush in summer holiday, namely 223,000 person-times per day. Among which, on July 6, it sent 267,000 person-times in total, which is the maximum number of passengers during the rush during summer holiday, and higher than that in 2023, namely, 8,000 person-times, with a growth rate of 3.3%. Based on the destinations four tourists, the popular ones are Chengdu, Wanzhou, Guiyang, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Kunming and Xinjiang.

According to the relevant person in charge of Chongqing Railway Station, the travel themed on “study” is favored, because there are a great number of students and children traveling in this year. In this regard, the Station actively got contact with local relevant departments and schools to deeply understand the passenger flow dynamics, and provide travel program. Since July, it has undertaken the transportation of 12 batches of study groups. For such groups, the Station also opened a special ticket window which gives priority to security check, entry and other services.

With the start of the “second half” of the rush of summer holiday, as well as colleges and universities have started in succession in the late August, Chongqing Railway Station will usher in the return passenger flow peak one after another from this month. In order to cope with the travel needs of passengers, through the analysis on standby ticket statistics, the Station strengthened the analysis of passenger flow trend research and judgment, and ensured the demand for transportation capacity during the summer holiday to the maximum extent by increasing trains, and train group reconnection. In addition, the Station opened all convenient transfer channels, strengthened the organization of passenger flow in all links, deployed additional personnel at entrance, waiting hall, ticket gates and other key areas, and organized youth volunteers to strengthen the publicity and guidance at the crowded area to provide passengers with a safer, more comfortable and convenient travel experience.

In addition, during the rush of summer holiday, Chongqing Railway Station continued strengthening the construction of civilized environment, and organized travel publicity activities. The guides distributed the leaflets titled Civilized Travel Initiative for Railroad Passengers, to popularize the civilized travel knowledge from the aspects of observing orders, maintaining environmental hygiene, and taking care of equipment and facilities to advocate that passengers shall actively take action to develop good civilized travel habits.
