CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the self-service library, or city’s study, on Ziwei Road in Yubei District has been thrown open to the public, drawing in numerous citizens passionate about reading.

Covering an area of approximately 80 square meters, the self-service library houses a collection of over 3,000 books spanning literature, art, science, and much more. It is a contemporary self-service library that offers book borrowing, electronic reading, and self-study facilities to meet the diverse reading needs of people of all ages.

Currently, Yubei District is home to 12 such libraries, boasting 450 reading seats and more than 58,300 books. These libraries are conveniently located in densely populated areas such as shopping malls, squares, parks, and communities, catering to the escalating cultural demands of the public and infusing fresh cultural vitality into the city's development.
