CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “On that day, my child’s head wouldn’t stop bleeding. Thanks to the kind-hearted taxi driver who got him to the hospital and didn’t even charge for it,” said Ms. Luo, a local resident. She recently called Chongqing Meitian Taxi Company in hopes of locating the driver who assisted her child that day.

On the afternoon of August 5, Ms. Luo’s 2-year-old child suffered a head injury from a fall while playing at home, with bleeding that wouldn’t stop. “At the time, we were all at work, and my father rushed the child to the hospital in a taxi,” said Ms. Luo. She added that when they arrived at the hospital, her child had already received medical treatment, thanks to the assistance of the taxi driver.

To ensure that the child received prompt medical treatment, the taxi driver directly drove to the emergency room entrance. Upon arrival, he did not mention the fare and kept urging them to get the child treated quickly.

The taxi driver’s kind actions left a lasting impression on Ms. Luo and her family. In their haste, they did not get the driver’s contact information. Ms. Luo eventually managed to find the vehicle’s license plate number and the company he worked for. She then found the company’s phone number online, leading to the initial scene.

Ms. Luo said that although the fare was not much, she wanted to express her gratitude to the taxi driver.

Subsequently, the reporter contacted Zhou Fujin, the taxi driver who helped Ms. Luo. He told the reporter that he is also a father of two children; it was the evening rush hour that day; and the child bleeding continuously made him anxious; and then he turned on his hazard lights and rushed to the hospital, hoping the child would receive treatment as soon as possible.

However, what Mr. Zhou did not expect was that Ms. Luo had been trying to find him to pay the fare of 20 yuan, which warmed his heart and moved him. He said: “When facing with such a situation, of course, you have to help. I believe any driver would make the same choice.” (Translated by Vichy, Fathom Language Limited)
