CHOGNQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing’s central urban area boasts a 318-kilometer shoreline, with more than 120 access points leading to the river.

As summer’s heatwave continues, the Water Police Corps has intensified its presence as part of a special summer security crackdown and enhancement initiative. Focusing on key areas along the two rivers and four banks—where locals and tourists often swim, relax, and capture photos—their patrols have been bolstered. Officers are stationed at critical spots, conducting regular shoreline sweeps, and leveraging drones, video surveillance, and other advanced tools to monitor crowded areas. This comprehensive water-shore safety network, marked by strategic police deployment, continuous patrols, and vigilant monitoring, ensures the protection of these vital waterways.
