CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It was announced on August 16 that to strengthen economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between Chongqing and Paris, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport plans to increase the number of direct passenger flights to Paris starting October 29. Hainan Airlines will operate the increased flights, raising the frequency from once to twice a week. Currently, it is the only direct flight connecting China’s central and western regions with Paris.
The flights will be operated by Boeing B787 aircraft, with the new schedule offering departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The outbound flight, HU717, will leave Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 2:30 AM, arriving at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 7:55 AM. The return flight, HU718, will depart Paris at 10:50 AM, landing in Chongqing at 4:30 AM the following day (all times local).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also announced that from December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, China will implement a trial unilateral visa-free policy for six countries, including France. This policy will facilitate travel to China for business, tourism, and visiting family and friends, supporting the stable operation of the Chongqing-Paris direct flight route.
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport now operates 27 international and regional passenger routes with 155 weekly flights to cities such as Seattle, London, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Milan, Budapest, Sydney, Doha, Dubai, Singapore, Seoul, and Osaka. This extensive network covers Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. Moving forward, the airport plans to enhance its international route network further to provide even greater convenience for travelers. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
