CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- With less than a month until the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, according to the Notice on the Arrangement of Certain Public Holidays in 2024 issued by the General Office of the State Council, this Mid-Autumn Festival holiday will be from September 15 to 17, totaling 3 days off, and September 14 (Saturday) will be adjusted as the first workday after the holiday.

If you take a day off on September 14, you can enjoy a 4-day holiday. According to statistics on Qunar, popular cities for this Mid-Autumn Festival include Suzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Qingdao, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Changsha.

Between the summer vacation and the National Day holiday, the Mid-Autumn Festival is considered as a low travel season with fewer travelers and relatively lower prices. On September 15, flights from Beijing to Shanghai, Nanchang, and Xi’an; from Shanghai to Qingdao and Guangzhou; from Hangzhou to Jinan, Shenzhen, and Sanya; from Kunming to Chengdu and Changsha; and from Wuhan to Chongqing and Qingdao have tickets available at a price less than 500 yuan.

The National Day holiday will be from October 1 to October 7, totaling 7 days off; and September 29 (Sunday) and October 12 (Saturday) are adjusted as workdays. If you ask for leave on September 29 and 30, you can extend the holiday to 10 days by combining it with September 28, making it an excellent opportunity for international travel.

Currently, according to Qunar, the most popular international travel destinations for the National Day holiday are Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia, the United States, Singapore, Spain, Italy, and Australia.
