CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At 15:00 on August 21, Sichuan Airlines’ flight 3U8831 took off smoothly from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport bound for Beijing Capital International Airport. What's different this time is that this flight was operated by a painted Airbus A350.
With a fuselage full of panda elements and a larger, wider body, passengers were attracted to this adorable Airbus A350 before boarding. Many of them took out their phones to take photos while boarding. Upon entering the cabin, passengers were dazzled by spacious seats, portholes with wide view, LED ambient lighting, and a new generation of in-flight interactive entertainment system.
As a new generation of long-range wide-bodied aircraft, the Airbus A350 is 66.8 meters long, with the wingspan of 64.75 meters, equipped with 331 seats, 28 of which are in business class.
It is learned that this is the second time this year that Sichuan Airlines has operated the departing flights from Chongqing with Airbus A350, following the model-worker-themed flight in May. To ensure the smooth operation of this aircraft at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport, the Sichuan Airlines Chongqing Branch has carried out risk control over all works during the aircraft's stay in advance, to ensure the safe, smooth and orderly operation of this aircraft.
The Sichuan Airlines Chongqing Branch is the first branch established by Sichuan Airlines. As of August 21, 2024, they have 24 stationed aircraft, over 2,000 employees, and operate more than 80 domestic and international routes, transporting over 6 million passengers annually.
