CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On August 22, significant progress was made at Yongchuan South Railway Station, part of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway Station, as its station building reached completion.

The project of the comprehensive transportation hub and supporting facilities at Yongchuan South includes the construction of the station's access road, a spacious station square, a passenger service center, and a public transportation hub. The civil works for the basement, passenger service center, and surrounding infrastructure are well underway, with the entire project set to be completed by September 30, just in time for its official opening.

The Chongqing-Yibin section of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway includes eight strategically located stations: Chongqing West, Jiulongpo, Jiangjin North, Yongchuan South, Luzhou East, Luzhou, Nanxi, and Yibin East. (Photographed by Cui Li / Visual Chongqing)
