CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 11th 2024 Yangtze Three Gorges · Wuxi Hongchiba Bicycle Race began on August 25, drawing over 300 cyclists from all over the world to Yunshang Hongchi to chase their dreams.

After two hours of intense competition, 140 winners were crowned across six categories. In the road bicycle division, ALVARO DUARTE SANDOVAL (from Colombia) claimed first place in the men’s elite group, Hou Jun topped the men’s masters group, and Huang Xianlan secured first place in the women’s open group.

In the mountain bike division, Chen Lin triumphed in the men’s elite group, Wang Jiadong won the men’s masters group, and Li Xue took first place in the women’s open group.

This year’s race excelled in event services. The race was hosted by organizations certified by the China Cycling Association, with the technical representative and chief referee appointed directly by the association to ensure fairness and integrity. Two supply stations were strategically placed along the route to provide riders with energy and hydration, helping them maintain peak performance.

The services for riders were both warm and thoughtful. Shuttle vehicles were arranged to transport participants from Fengjie to Hongchiba, and detailed accommodation, transportation, travel, and participation guides were provided to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, all participants enjoyed free access to the Hongchiba Scenic Area during the event, allowing them to fully appreciate the breathtaking beauty of Hongchiba at no cost.

“The competition is secondary to the sightseeing. I fell in love with Hongchiba when I arrived, with its perfect 17°C climate. The Flower Sea in Clouds (Yunzhong Huahai) and the Cloud Belt (Yaodaiyun) in Hongchiba are stunning. The Hongchiba Bicycle Race is the one I look forward to most every year!” shared Mr. Chen, who has participated for two consecutive years.
