CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Charging and swapping batteries for new energy vehicles just got easier! On August 26, the "Yuyichong" app officially launched, offering a convenient solution for drivers in Chongqing. With just a tap on your smartphone, you can now effortlessly locate nearby charging stations for your electric vehicle.

The "Yuyichong" app boasts three key features to enhance your charging experience: a comprehensive map of charging stations across the city, real-time price inquiries, and the ability to scan a code to start charging instantly. The app provides detailed information on each charging station, including the number of charging guns available, charging power, station type, current availability, and pricing. Users can also set personalized charging reminders based on their preferences and habits, making it easier than ever to stay charged up.

To date, "Yuyichong" has integrated 379 charging and battery-swapping operators throughout Chongqing, covering over 3,000 stations. The app has been used 100,000 times, reflecting its growing popularity among EV drivers.

The city's efforts to build a robust charging and swapping infrastructure are paying off. As of July 2024, 320,000 charging piles have been installed, with a favorable vehicle-to-charger ratio of 2:1—better than the national average of 2.4:1.

In recent years, our city has actively promoted the construction and use of charging infrastructure. To date, we have installed 320,000 charging piles, including 34,000 public and 286,000 private units, achieving a favorable vehicle-to-charger ratio of 2:1.

By 2025, following the Chongqing New Energy Vehicle Convenient Ultra-fast Charging Action Plan (2024-2025), Chongqing plans to establish a one-kilometer ultra-fast charging circle in the central urban area, with 1,340 ultra-fast charging stations set to be built.
