CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- September 5 this year marked China's ninth "Chinese Charity Day," and the week it fall down was also the third "Chongqing Charity Week." To promote the development of charity, the Charity Street in Mountain City Alley, Yuzhong District officially opened on September 6.

It is learned that the Charity Street in Mountain City Alley, themed on "Goodness in Mountain City", aiming to promoting charity culture and building a charity brand, has integrated charitable elements into the traditional scenic area of the Mountain City Alley, and set up innovative charity scenes and organized charity theme activities.

In terms of scene setting, the Charity Street in the Mountain City Alley has designed a "Love Punch Map", and by following the "1+N" concept, created one core charity display spot called the "Welfare Heart Space" along with 10 spots for charity shops, including Mountain City Story House, Tixintang, Xiangyu Embroidery Shop, and Ciji Waipoqiao Restaurant, to showcase charity from multiple perspectives and at multiple levels.

For example, combining the history of Chongqing's "Charity Tea," Ciji Waipoqiao Restaurant offers a set number of disposable cups and environmentally friendly containers every day at its entrance to provide charity tea services to tourists visiting the Mountain City Alley; additionally, on the outer wall of Tixintang, a exhibition of Mountain City Charity photos showcases Chongqing’s charitable history.

Moreover, at the volunteer window of the Mountain City Story House, volunteers tell tourists the stories behind Chongqing's old items, recommend cultural and tourist spots, and offer commemorative cards to visitors who donate to the "Goodness in Mountain City" community fund.

"Every weekend afternoon, whenever I have time, I come to the Mountain City Story House to introduce to tourists. It makes me happy and honored to help more people learn about Chongqing’s history," said 12-year-old Chen Junfeng, who has been a volunteer guide at the Mountain City Story House for two years.

It is also learned that tourists, when visiting Mountain City Alley, by following the “Love Punch Map”, can go to any six charity shops within the charity street and collect six stamps, then they can exchange them for a lottery ticket at the Mountain City Alley Direct-sale Store of China Welfare Lottery.
